Undertale: An amazing RPG game

Undertale is a very simple game-Kill Monsters, Get health, Discover all the lore, spare enemies if you want, discover 23 endings, die once to many times, and get EXP.

Undertale was made by Toby Fox and Temmie Chang. This game revolves around a small 8 year old who falls into the underground and has to escape back to the surface. But oh no no my friend, it’s not like any RPG you have ever seen. There are consequences based on who you kill, what you do, and etc.

In Undertale, there are only 4 things you can do in a battle. Attack, Act, Item, or Spare.
Attack is used to… WELL ATTACK WHAT ELSE WOULD IT BE USED FOR??? Spare is used to either flee a battle, or spare an enemy. Act is used to see details on an enemy, or do actions that can trigger an enemy to be Spared or make them even crazier. Item is what it means. Use an item at any given moment. Just note that some routes can have Items that can either lower attack and/or defense. The endings is what really matters. Because the characters Flowey and Sans can see what happened in your previous run.

Genocide Ending

You can get this ending if you kill everyone. That includes everyone that lives in the Ruins, Snowdin, Waterfall, Hotland, and True Home. Meaning you CANNOT press the Spare button in any battle. Just keep on killing until they’re dead. But genocide can only be triggered if you keep on encountering enemies until you see “But nobody came…” in the battle box. But actions have their consequences. If you continue to kill everyone, near the end of the game, Sans will come it and murder you a few times until you can kill him. Sans has 1 Attack and 1 Defense, making him the “weakest enemy.” But sans will dodge your attack many times until he get exhausted. But you will probably have died a few times before you kill Sans. Once Sans is killed, you can continue to the end of the game. Where you kill the final boss, Asgore, and brutally murder Flowey. You will then get to talk to Chara, the first human to ever fall down into the underground. Once that happens, you can ERASE the save file or don’t. If you Erase, Chara will be satisfied and continue to kill you and the world. If you don’t, Chara will be ANGEARY and jumpscare you and kill you and the world. But probably you first.

Pacifist EndingTrue Pacifist

This ending is the opposite of Genocide. You spare everyone you see, no matter what. Killing even 1 monster will trigger the Neutral route. Otherwise than that, you spare everyone. Some people say that the Napstablook fight can not be spared, but if you Act enough, you can cause Napstablook to be Spared. After that, play the game normally. Once the Undyne fight happens, you can keep on fleeing until you make it to Hotland, where Undyne will have a heat stroke and you can choose to give water to Undyne to trigger the route, or don’t. Choose give water to do the Pacifist Ending. Keep on playing the game normally… etc, etc. Once the Mettaton fight in the Core happens, spare. Like always, SPARE FOR GOD SAKE WHY SHOULD I KEEP ON SAYING THIS. At the end of the game, Asgore will be hit by Toriel’s attack and… yeah. But then, everyone comes in and it’s like a family reunion. Until Papyrus says , “A little flower helped me.” And that’s when Flowey comes in and kills everyone to transform into Asriel Dreemur. Then you have a big boss fight that lasts a while. You won’t die during this fight. Once in Phase 2, you have to SAVE your friends and make them normal. Once all your friend’s have been Saved, you then have to “SAVE” Asriel. Meaning just put him in an emotional breakdown and turn him into a normal person. You then go in a cutscene that is kinda sad and then you see all the monsters on the surface. But this is the happy ending. All the monsters get used to living on the surface and you get a good ending.

Neutral Route

This route is fairly simple. Don’t do anything from the Genocide and Pacifist route, and kill as much as you want, but spare some bois too. This route is fairly different. Unlike Genocide and Pacifist, which only have 1 type of ending, this route has over 30 types of endings based on who you killed, and who you spared. I won’t list any spoilers, but it is kinda sus in some cases.

Characters

The main characters in the game are sin- I mean monsters. Toriel is like a mother to Frisk in this game. But you can kill or spare her either way. But she IS like a mom. Then you have Sans the Skeleton, the jokester and funnybone in the game. With the text Comic Sans relating to the name Sans. But don’t judge Sans based on how funny he is. Judge him on how powerful he is in Genocide. Papyrus the Skeleton is the “want to be cool person” in the game. Papyrus always thinks he is cool, always wanting to be a Royal Guard. But apparently he has -11 followers in the Underground network and always makes spaghetti wrong. But Papyrus plays a major role. If you kill Papyrus, Sans will not appear where he should be. Which is sus. Then you have Undyne, the tough one in the game. Undyne is a Royal Guard. And carries a spear as a weapon. Which is also sus because she is a fish monster. Undyne is the one who has no regard for danger and goes ahead and not gently stir pasta but stir pasta so much that water spills out. Undyne is one of the tougher bosses in the game. But because she is a fish monster, going into Hotland will make her dehydrated. Alphys is the nerd in the game. She has her own lab and is the second Royal Scientist. But like we know what the last one is. She plays another major role because she created the other main character, Mettaton. Mettaton is a very intelligent robot that has his own TV show. He is a human killing robot that Alphys created after the 6th human fell down. At the Core, you will have to face a version of him with LEGS. Yes this game is very sus like I said. Then you have the final character, Doomsla- I mean Asgore. Asgore is that one father who went to get the milk but never came back. As he doesn’t really care THAT much about his son’s death that happened a few years ago. But despite Asgore’s father behavior, he gained superpowers from the store that had the milk and now has a trident that is very powerful and will shoot magic at you. But you can kill him kinda easily with just a few 30 or 40 hits.

wait so is this game actually good or not

Undertale is a funny/horror/weird/bullet hell/rouge like/frog/cheap/good/huh/smart/very good game to play. It has lore, meaning it’s good. It has a flower that wants to snap your neck, and it has very good A+ gameplay.
