Kirby and the Forgotten Land: 3D Platformer

Kirby and the Forgotten Land takes place on Earth. Well, not exactly. More like earth after everything died and foliage took over. One of the cool features of Kirby and the Forgotten Land is that instead of 2D, it’s 3D! I like how Nintendo added (new?) mechanics where you have to combine and find certain areas to find hidden Waddle Dees and get rewards.

The next part I like about Kirby and the Forgotten Land is Waddle Dee Town. [SPOILERS AHEAD] This little town was created by the Waddle Dees that Kirby saved. I like it because the more you advance into the game, and the more Waddle Dees you collect, it adds more features to the town like a shop, a fishing game, weapons shop, and even a colosseum! This town is helpful because it can let you heal if health is low, and give you power ups!

The mechanics of Kirby and the Forgotten Land are different from games like Kirby Triple Deluxe. Besides the change from 2D to 3D, some copy abilities have changed and have new powers. Like Hammer can be upgraded to Toy Hammer and do some attack damage + speed. In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Kirby has the ability to inhale objects that humans use. Such as cars, vending machines, and cones! There is much more to this but it is hard to list them all.

[SPOILERS AHEAD] The Fecto Forgo level felt slightly challenging in some ways. Fecto Forgo is the boss battle before you fight Fecto Elfilin. This boss battle is a giant wall where Fecto is chasing Kirby and attacking him with a bite attack. Solution: Kirby must keep running and attack every time Fecto Forgo stops. So just hope that you are a pretty good attack locator because this boss battle is a little tough.

In conclusion, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a fun game and I recommend it to all Nintendo fans out there.
